Louisiana Gumbo

  1. Drain oysters,teserving
  2. liquid.
  3. Saute
  4. onion, green pepper, celery andtarlictn
  5. butter
  6. in large skillet until lightly browned.
  7. Add okra, tomatoes, broth, oyster liquid and seasoning.tover
  8. and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp and cook 5 minutes.
  9. Then add oysters and cook 1 minute.
  10. Remove
  11. bay leaf.teanwhile, combine water and 1/2 teaspoon
  12. salt
  13. and rice.
  14. Bring to boil.
  15. Cover.
  16. Remove from heat;
  17. letttand
  18. 5
  19. minutes.
  20. To serve, spoon rice into soup bowls; ladle gumbo over rice.
