Ada'S Cheesecake
- 1st Layer
- 9 ozs. cream cheese (not lite)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Graham cracker crumbs for crust
- 2nd layer
- 1 pint sour cream (not lite)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Preheat oven to 325.
- 1st layer:
- Make 9 inch crust according to Graham cracker crumb directions. Press firmly into 9" pie pan.
- Cream the cheese with a mixer. Add egg and continue beating. Add sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth. Put into crust and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 10 -15 minutes.
- 2nd layer:
- Mix together (by hand, not with mixer) the sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Do not over mix it as it will become to thin. Smooth it on top of the cream cheese layer. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Put in refrigerator and chill thoroughly.
