Monster Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 + 2 Tbls cups packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups peanut butter
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp corn syrup
- 4 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or 1 6 oz. pkg)
- 1 cup candy-coated milk chocolate pieces
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cream butter & gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg & milk; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.
- Drop dough, by heaping teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes (centers of cookies will be slightly soft). Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks, and cool completely. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen.
