Milano Pasta Fagioli

  1. Boil and drain pasta- set aside
  2. boil and drain spinach- set aside
  3. In large saucepan or soup pot sautee garlic in oil approx. 2 min. Do not brown.
  4. Drain Cannelini beans and add to garlic and stir
  5. Add tomato sauce or marinara and stir
  6. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add cooked spinach and stir. Cover surface of mixture with basil leaves(approx. 2T) and stir
  7. Remove from heat- Add cooked pasta. Cover and let sit for at least 5 minutes.
  8. Serve in soup bowl sprinkle grated cheese to taste. Total prep time about 20 minutes.
