Salisbury Steak

  1. 1) In pan with oil - Partially caramelize the onions and start to brown the mushrooms. Add garlic at last minute and remove from pan.
  2. 2) Combine meat, breadcrumbs, quarter of onion/mushroom/garlic mix, 1 spoonful of cream of mushroom condensed soup and Worcester sauce (optional). Form into 4 patties.
  3. 3) Brown 4 patties on both sides. Remove from pan.
  4. 4) Deglaze pan with 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  5. 5) Return onion/mushroom/garlic to pan. Add cream of mushroom soup and beef stock. Stir.
  6. 6) Return beef patties to sauce. Cover and let cook through.
