Katie'S Spicy Chicken
- 1 Bottle (16oz) Crystal or Louisiana Hot sauce
- 1tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1tsp Chili Powder
- 2tbl minced garlic
- 1-2 sticks butter cut into pieces
- Chicken Pieces (Wings 24, Legs 6-12, Breasts 4, Thighs 6, or 1 whole fryer)
- Mix Hot sauce with spices in a med. sauce pot or pan. Bring to almost boiling, add butter pieces while stirring.
- Turn broiler on to 450 Degrees F.
- Take chicken pieces and place on a broiling pan, or dish that can go under the broiler.
- Broil Chicken till skin is crispy turning for even cooking. After cooking place chicken in crock pot or in baking dish, pour sauce over chicken reserving some for dipping. (Make sure dipping sauce has no contact with uncooked or partially cooked chicken!)
- Bake for at least 1 hour, checking tempertare. When chicken reaches 160 Degrees in the thickest part, it is done.
- Serve with Blue cheese sauce and veggies.
