Macaroni And Cheese
- 8 oz. elbow macaroni
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. shredded cheese (mild or sharp Cheddar)
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- Cook macaroni.
- Meanwhile, in saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Remove from heat.
- Blend in flour, salt, mustard and pepper.
- Return to heat.
- Add milk gradually, stirring constantly until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add 1/2 cup cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
- Drain macaroni.
- Combine cheese and macaroni in a lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.
- Mix well.
- Sprinkle bread crumbs and paprika over top and remaining cheese.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for about 25 minutes.
