Crispin Cider Honey Crisp- Apple Cake Recipe
- Main cake:
- 3 Apples(any variety) Peeled, Cored and Sliced
- 2 cups of white sugar
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup vegatable oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup of OJ
- 220z. Crispin - Honey Crisp Cider
- Sprinkle Topping:
- 5 tablespoons white sugar & 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1. Soak the apples in a bowl completely submerged in the bomber of Crispin Honey Crisp Cider(reccommended 6 hours min).
- 2. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 10" pan. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and set aside.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and sugar. stir in the oil, beaten eggs, orange juice and vanilla. Lastly add juice from the soaked apples and mix thoroughly.
- 4. Pour half the batter into the pan and top with the apples. Sprinkle some of the mixture on this layer.
- 5. Pour the remainder of the batter on top and then more apples and the rest of the mixture.
- 6. Bake at 350 Degrees for 70 to 90 minutes
