Seafood Pasta
- 1 pound sea scallops (the large ones)
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 18 mussels, debearded and scrubbed
- 18 small clams, scrubbed
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz.)
- 1 onion
- 2 or 3 cloves garlic
- salt, pepper to taste
- olive oil
- basil, parsley and marjoram
- 1/4 cup white wine
- Place a large pot on the stove. Turn the burner to medium high. Put about 3 tablespoons of olive oil in the pan. Add chopped onion. Cook slightly and add garlic, crushed. Add white wine and let cook for a few minutes. Add tomatoes and let cook 5 minutes. Add 2 or 3 basil leaves chopped and 1/2 tsp of marjoram. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add clams and mussels and cover and let cook till they start to open. Add scallops and shrimp and cook till shrimp is pink and scallops are white. This should take only 5 minutes, but check before to make sure.
- Boil 1 pound linguine with salt. When done, toss the linguine with the seafood and place in a large serving bowl. Sprinkle with fresh parlsey as a garnish.
