Nut Roll And Poppyseed Roll
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 packages yeast
- 2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pound poppyseed, ground
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Mix milk, sugar and yeast and let stand 5 minutes.
- Add egg, butter and flour.
- Knead and let stand until double.
- Divide into 4 parts.
- Roll out and spread with filling and roll.
- Bake at 350.
- Nut Filling
- Scald 1/2 cup milk
- Add 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar and cook until sugar melts.
- Let cool.
- Add nuts and 1 egg.
- Poppyseed Filling
- Cook remaining ingredients 5 minutes
