Country-House Chocolate Fudge
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 4 Baker's German's chocolate bars
- 1 extra large Hershey semi-sweet chocolate bar
- 1 1/2 pt. Marshmallow Creme
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. nuts (optional)
- Boil together the sugar, salt, oleo and milk.
- Gently boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Start timing after mixture has reached full gentle boiling point.
- Remove from heat.
- Add all chocolates; stir until melted.
- Add Marshmallow Creme and vanilla; stir until all mixed.
- Add nuts.
- Pour into greased pans or cookie sheets.
- Cool several hours, then cut to store in airtight containers.
- Keep cool.
- One batch makes 12 pounds.
