Spaghetti With Sausage And Green Peppers
- 1 lb. Mild Pork Sausage
- 1/2 Lrg. Onion sliced lengthwise
- 1 Bell Pepper cored, cleaned and chopped into 3/4 inch portions.
- Whole Wheat Spaghetti (Enough for Family)
- Plain Spaghetti Sauce (Either make your own or can be from store)
- 1 Tbsp Sea Salt
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1. Boil Water with Sea Salt and cooking oil until rolling well.
- 2. Add Spaghetti and turn heat to Medium-High
- 3. Brown Sausage with garlic.
- 4. Once the sausage is halfway done, add onions.
- 5. Sear the green peppers over medium high in another pan. Do not allow to brown.
- 6. When sausage is brown and onions have heated (Not Transparent), add tomato sauce and season to taste. ( I prefer Basil and Oregano).
- 7. Drain Spaghetti and place to the side to evaporate remaining water. Do not allow to get soft and mushy when boiling.
- 8. Turn off heat to green peppers and allow to remain on stove. The green peppers should still be crunchy.
- 9. Place spaghetti on warm plate, add sauce mixture and garnish on top with remaining fresh onion and peppers for presentation.
