Sumptuous Shark Fish Puttu
- shark fish skinned 4-5 medium pieces
- small onins(shallots)chopped 1cup
- green chillies 3 nos
- grated coconut 1/2 cup
- ginger garlic paste 1tablespoon
- salt to taste
- turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
- red chilly powder 1teaspoon
- mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2teaspoon.
- Method: Boil the shark fish in a shallow dish with very little water, adding turmeric & half the salt.Turn once while cooking covered. Chop the onions & green chilles. In a frying pan add oil, season with mustard & cumin. Add curry leaves to give flavour. Put in the chopped onions & green chillies & saute adding the ginger garlic paste. Meanwhile strain the fish break it to resemble crumbs. Put in the frying pan, stirring to mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Add chilly powder & enough salt & fry till the water has evaporated & a nice aroma is let out. Finally add the grated coconut & stir a while, remove. Can be served as a side dish with rice & curry.
