Baked Beef Barbecue
- 6 lb. beef chuck roast
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 3 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. water
- Cut beef into small cubes.
- Place in roaster or Dutch oven. Combine rest of ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil and pour over meat.
- Cover, simmer in 300u0b0 oven for 6 hours or until meat is tender enough to pull apart with a fork.
- Pull all meat apart and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Any leftover barbecue may be stored in refrigerator for several days or frozen indefinitely.
- Serves 20.
