Pizza Porcupine Patties
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 2 Tbsp. chopped chilies
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp. beef bouillon
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. shredded pizza cheese
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Set aside 8 ounces tomato sauce.
- Mix remaining sauce, ground beef, rice, chilies, salt, garlic salt and oregano.
- Makes 6 patties (1/2-inch thick).
- Place in baking pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
- Do not grease pan.
- Cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and drain.
- Dissolve bouillon in boiling water and stir in remaining tomato sauce.
- Pour mixture over patties.
- Cover and bake for 35 minutes.
- Cover patties with surrounding sauce.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Cook until cheese has melted.
