Oriental Beef(Serves 10)
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 or 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped pimentos
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 c. sour cream
- 8 oz. flat noodles, cooked in salted water
- 1 pkg. slivered almonds
- Brown onion and beef.
- Pour off fat.
- Add soup, soy sauce and water.
- Cook slowly about 10 minutes. Add green pepper, celery, pimentos and chestnuts.
- Cook until vegetables are still crunchy.
- Add sour cream, mushrooms and noodles and put in a buttered 3-quart casserole.
- Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
- May be frozen.
