Broccoli Bread
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- 3/4 to 1 lb. sweet or hot sausage
- 1 (8 oz. or 12 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- garlic powder to taste
- oregano to taste
- 1 (8 oz. or 10 oz.) pkg. chopped broccoli (not cooked), just pat dry
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease cookie sheet with margarine. Take casings off sausages and break up into pieces and cook with a little salt and a couple tablespoons of water to prevent sticking. When cooked, let the sausage cool for a couple of minutes. Meanwhile, roll out dough onto a floured countertop.
- Roll the dough about the size of a pizza.
- Try not to roll the dough too thin.
- Sprinkle the crumbled sausage on the dough, leaving about a 2-inch edge all around.
- Spread broccoli on top of sausage. Sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese on top of broccoli, then sprinkle with oregano.
