Greek Meatballs (Keftedes)
- 1/2 pound Ground Lamb
- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
- 1 Yellow Onion (grated)
- 3 cloves Garlic (pressed)
- 3/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 3/4 teaspoon Dried Dill Weed
- 3/4 teaspoon Dried Basil
- 3/4 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Mint (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Parsley (chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon Powder (Optional)
- 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 cup Bread Crumbs
- 2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine all ingredients other than the flour in a large mixing bowl
- Form golf ball sized meatballs from the mixture
- Roll meatballs in flour so they are lightly coated
- Bake in oven on parchment paper covered pan for one hour
- Serve alongside spaghetti with browned butter and Pecorino Romano Cheese
