Mutha Sauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup minced onion
- 1/2 cup minced green pepper
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- pinch of salt and pepper
- 2 T minced garlic
- 1 28 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 cups ketchup
- 3/4 cups Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup cayenne pepper sauce
- 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 T chili powder
- 2 tsp coarsely ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, add the oil. Add the onions, and peppers and give them a stir. Season with salt and pepper and cook until soft and golden. Add the garlic, and cook for 1 minute more. Add 1 dcup of water and all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes and let sauce cool. Pour into a container, cover and store until ready to use
