Turkish Pide (Cheese Or Beef)

  1. To prepare beef filling, in a medium pan, saute onion and beef for a while and add tomatoes. Sprinkle salt and black pepper. Stir to combine. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes and turn the heat off and set aside.
  2. To make cheese filling, combine crumbled feta cheese, chopped parsley, and shredded tomatoes in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Combine all ingredients of dough and gradually add flour until you have a soft dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Grab some dough big as a golf ball. Roll it in oval shape. Spread the filling and fold the edges.
  4. Place them on lightly greased cookie sheet, brush their tops with egg yolk and bake in preheated 350 F oven for about 25- 30 minutes or until golden brown.
