Cream Cheese Spread
- 1 8oz cream cheese
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 green onions chopped fine
- 4 slices of genoa or hard salami chopped fine
- 2 large slices of pepperoni chopped fine
- 4 pepperoncini peppers seeded chopped
- 1 stalk celery chopped fine
- fresh ground black pepper 2-3 turns of a pepper mill
- Optional: grape tomatoes- whole
- extra slices of salami or smoked ham
- 1 loaf of baguette sliced in rounds about 1/4 in thick
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- place sliced sliced baguette on cookie sheets, with pastry brush, brush bread with olive oil, garlic and oregano. Bake at 350 until crisp and golden brown.
- While bread is toasting mix cream cheese, garlic, onion, celery, pepperoni, salami pepperoncini, and black pepper.
- When bread is cool top with cream cheese spread and optional tomatoes and or salami or ham. Rolling meat and placing grape tomatoe with one end downward in spread gives a decorative touch.
