Olive Cheese Bread
- 1- 14.5oz can black olives drained, whole
- 1- 6oz jar green olives stuffed with pimento
- 2 green onions
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1/2 cup real mayo (no substitutions)
- 1lb grated montery jack cheese
- 1 loaf french bread, whole
- Stand french bread vertically and slice in half resulting in two equal halves (top & bottom of the loaf) to lay on cookie sheet crust-down.
- Chop all olives roughly to break up large pieces.
- Chop green onion and combine with chopped olives in large mixing bowl.
- Add butter, mayo, and cheese to chopped mixture in bowl, stir until combined. s/p to taste.
- Spread mixture onto bread halves and bake for 20 minutes until cheese is thoroughly melted and bubbly. Cut into finger-food slices and serve.
