Oriental Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 c. sliced celery
- 1/4 c. whole almonds
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed mushroom soup
- 1 (16 oz.) can mixed vegetables, drained
- Brown meat, onions and garlic in oil.
- Add celery, soup and mixed vegetables.
- Stir in rice and seasonings.
- Turn into 2 1/2-quart casserole.
- Cover and bake 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Remove cover and top with cheese and almonds.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
