Sangria
- 1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup triple sec
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 2 limes, sliced into rounds
- Optional:
- Additional fruit options include :maraschino cherries, peaches, apples, pears ect.
- Additional serving options: Add 2 cups soda water or ginger ale or 7up prior to serving.
- Alcohol substitutions:
- Rum in place of brandy.
- A fruit schnapps such as peach in place of triple sec.
- In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together all of the liquid ingredients and stir in sugar until it is completed dissolved.
- Float slices of lemon, orange and lime, and maraschino cherries in the mixture.
- Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
