Hot Fudge Pudding Cake
- 1 cup flour
- 2 Tablespoons baking cocoa
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 3/4 cup hot water
- Optional: 1 cup nuts
- Mix together the dry ingredients: flour, 2 tablespoons cocoa, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add milk and butter, and stir well. Stir in nuts is desired.
- Pour into a greased 9x9 cake pan.
- Mix together the brown sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Slowly pour the hot water over the batter that is topped with the brown sugar/cocoa mixture.
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
- Let cool a little, the batter will be on top, the fudgey pudding underneath. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
