Raspberry Cookie Bars

  1. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside. Cream butter, shortening and sugars; beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine with sifted ingredients.
  2. Using wet hands, spread one half of dough into greased 9 X 13" pan. Spread jam on top of dough to within 1/2" of edges. With remaining dough, pat into circles and place atop jam to cover. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes until set. Allow to cool completely.
  3. Make a glaze with 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 to 1 tsp water. Drizzle over cooled recipe in fancy design and cut into bars.
