Lemon, Soy & Crispin Cider Char Grilles Asparagus
- 1 lb asparagus tips (look for thicker stalks)
- 2 table-spoons Sesame Oil
- 2 crushed Garlic cloves
- 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled & grated
- Coarse Kosher or Sea Salt
- Crispin Hard Apple Cider (Original)
- Lemon & Soy Butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3 scallions (Spring Onions?), finely sliced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, grated & juice squeezed
- 1 tea-spoon peppercorns coarsely crushed or fresh ground black pepper
- 2 table-spoons white rice vinegar
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice - 1/2 a lemon.
- 1/4 cup Crispin Hard Cider
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
- Melt butter in small saucepan
- Add ingredients above
- Bring to boil, boil for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat, keeping mixture warm.
- Asparagus Preparation
- Put sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and salt in a plastic bag.
- Add asparagus & gently toss to liberally coat the tips.
- Heat a frying pan, add asparagus.
- Cook for 2 minutes on each side.
- Arrange on a platter.
