Beef And Beer
- 4 lb chuck, cut in 2" pieces
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tsp red paprika
- 1 tsp pepper
- 10-12 small white onions, peeled
- 4 strips of bacon, cut into small pieces
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced (or 2 8-oz cans)
- 1 12 oz can of beer
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 1 bay leaf (optional)
- Place flour, salt, paprika and pepper in zip-loc bag. Mix well
- Place onions, bacon and 1/2 mushrooms in crock pot
- Thoroughly coat cubes of meat with flour mix, and place in crock pot
- Add remaining mushrooms
- Mix beer, sugar, vingar, thyme (and bay leaf if used)
- Pour into crock pot
- Cover and cook opn low for 8-10 hours
