Peanut Butter Blossoms
- 1 bag Hershey's kisses
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbls. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt

- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Remove wrappers from Hershey's kisses.
- Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add sugars; beat until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey's kiss into center of each cookie. Cookie will crack around the edges.
- Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack and cool completely.
