Green Olive And Pineapple Spaghetti
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. italian sausage
- 6 strips bacon
- 1 large onion
- 1 green pepper
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 c. sliced black olives
- 1 c. sliced green olives
- 16 oz. can pineapple tidbits
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
- 6 cloves garlic
- 28 oz. can whole tomato
- 28 oz. can diced tomato
- 28 oz. can crushed tomato
- 12 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
- Chop onion, green pepper, celery, mushrooms and garlic.
- Mix together with olive oil, salt and Italian seasoning in a large sauce pan.
- Brown meats in separate skillet.
- Add to sauce pan cans of tomato, salt and black and green olives.
- Bring to a boil then add meat.
- Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
- Add sugar and can of pineapple tidbits with some of the juice.
- simmer for another hour. Stir occasionally.
- Serve over favorite pasta!
