Baked Sweet Potato Wedges
- 3 Sweet Potatoes
- 3 tablespoons Olive or Coconut Oil
- 2 teaspoons Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon White Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 pinch Cayenne
- Cut Raw sweet potatoes into wedges about 1 inch wide.
- Spread the wedges on a baking sheet
- Make a spice mixture of garam masala, white pepper and salt and sprinkle over the wedges with olive oil
- Toss them so that all of the potatoes are coated in a light layer of oil and spices
- Pop those babies in the oven and roast at 400F until soft....about 30 minutes (check with a fork or pick one out and let it cool a bit and taste to see if done)
- The spice mix is where you can get creative and change the flavor of your dish. You can add cinnamon to make it more sweet and savory, cumin to make it more latin tasting, curry powder to amp up the Indian flavor, or powdered ginger to jazz it up.
- Sauce with Creamy cilantro-mint pesto?
sweet potatoes, olive or coconut oil, garam masala, white pepper, salt, cayenne
