Rigatoni With Italian Sausage
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 green peppers, cut in large strips
- 2 onions, cut in large sections
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes with juice
- pinch of red pepper
- 1 tsp. dried sweet basil leaves
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 c. water
- 1 lb. rigatoni
- grated Parmesan cheese
- Brown sausage.
- Remove and brown garlic, onions and green peppers.
- Stir occasionally.
- Add to rest of ingredients and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Cook rigatoni as instructed on package.
- Serve sauce over rigatoni and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
- Serves 6.
