The Best Un-Chocolate Cake Ever

  1. For Cake:
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  3. Pour boiling water over minute oats and let stand for two minutes; mix lightly.
  4. Cream sugars, margarine, eggs and vanilla - set aside.
  5. In separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda; add to cream mixture.
  6. Add oatmeal mixture and blend all well.
  7. Bake in greased 13 x 9 x 2 pan for 35 minutes.
  8. For Topping:
  9. Mix margarine, brown sugar and milk in small saucepan; boil for 1 minute.
  10. Add coconut and pecans.
  11. Spread evenly over WARM cake.
  12. BROIL cake until top begins to brown, watching carefully so that coconut and pecans do not burn under broiler.
