Chili
- 1 1/2 lb meat
- chopped garlic
- 1 lrg onion, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper
- olive oil
- 1 - 14oz can dark red kidney beans
- 2 - 16 oz can diced tomatoes
- 2 - 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 T. oregano
- 3 T. chili powder
- 2 T. basil
- 1 T. Italian herbs
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 T. cayenne pepper
- 1 C. dark beer
- Cheddar cheese
- sour cream
- Fritos
- Brown meat in skillet until no pink remains and meat is crumbled. Set aside.
- Saute onion, jalapeno, and garlic in olive oil in large stockpot. Add meat to pot. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 45 minutes.
- Serve topped with cheese, sour cream and Fritos.
