Energy Oat Bars
- 1/2 Cup soft butter.
- 1 Cup Dark brown sugar (litely packed).
- 1 Egg.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- 5 or 6 ripe bananas (mashed), OR 1 19.oz. canned peaches,(drained & mashed)
- 4 Cups uncooked regular oatmeal.
- 1 Cup rasins, OR 3/4 Cup semi-sweet choc. chips, OR 1 1/4 Cup Fresh blueberries.
- 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts OR Pecans (Whole or pecies)
- Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter & sugar until lite and fluffy. Add egg salt and fruit (bananas or peaches). Mix well w/rubber spatula.
- Stir in remaning ingredients. Turn into greased 13x9x2in. bakeing pan. Bake 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool and cut bars to desired size.
- Add 1/4 C. more butter for a richer dish.
- combos that I've tried:
- *bananas,choc. chips @ whole pecans.
- *bananas, blueberries & walnuts.
- *peaches, blueberries & walnuts.
- All are differant & very good,
- the great thing about this recipe is you can mix things up!!!
