Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 4 cups of Oatmeal, blended in a blender to a fine powder
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 24 oz chocolate chips, or Skor bits for a carmel cookie, about 3 cups
- 1 8 oz. Hershey bar, grated (optional)
- 3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
- Cream the butter, sugars. Beat briefly the eggs and vanilla, add to the butter/sugar mix. Mix the flour, salt, baking powder and soda and oatmeal powder; add to egg/butter mix.
- Roll into balls, (I just drop teaspoonfulls) and place 2" apart on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 for 10 minutes
- Makes 112 cookies.
