Savta'S Best Bolognese
- 1.5 lbs ground meat(turkey,beef)
- 1 can crushed tomatoes(796ml)
- 1 can tomato paste(11oz)+1can water
- 1 cup wine (any)
- Process fine-1 big Green pepper
- 1 carrot
- 2 onions
- 2 stalks celery
- handful of parsley
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 1 heaping tsp dry oregano
- 1heaping tsp dry basil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tblsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp-1tblsp chili powder to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp coarse salt
- 1 tsp oil
- Brown meat and break itup-May be processed for finer sauce.
- Add vegetables and stir
- Add tomatoes,paste,water & wine
- Add seasonings
- Bring to a boil (do not catch bottom)
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered
- 1 1/2 hours.
