Bryant'S Famous Pizza
- About 3 cups of flour (I use Pillsbury as it seems to work the best)
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon of active yeast
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
- About 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- Fresh basil, rolled and chopped
- Baby Spinich, chopped
- Crumbled Feta Cheese (regular or low fat)
- Shredded Provolone Cheese, or "Pizza Cheese"
- Start by adding the sugar and yeast to the warm water. Put this mixture into your KitchenAid, add half the flour and mix well.
- Now add the olive oil and salt. Mix well.
- Slowly add the remaining flour until it forms a nice mound of dough.
- During the mixing, you may often need to stop the mixer and use a spatula to work some of the flour down into the mixture.
- Coat a large bowl with some olive oil, put the dough in the bowl, and cover with a dish towel. For best results, let rise for an hour in a slightly warm place. If you dough doesn't rise, you probably either used cold flour from the fridge, or your water was too hot. Room temperature items will always work best.
