Chili With Ground Beef And Beans
- 1 head Yellow Onion, chopped
- 1 head Yellow Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1 head Red Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1 head Orange Bell Pepper, chopped
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1 packet Carroll Shelby Chili Kit, Spice Packet only
- 15 ounces Canned Petite Diced Tomatoes
- 8 ounces Canned Tomato Sauce
- 2 cups Water
- 1 packet Carroll Shelby Masa Flour (optional)
- 1 packet Carroll Shelby Cayenne Pepper (optional, to taste)
- 15 ounces Canned Chili Beans, drained and rinsed
- 15 ounces Canned Pinto Beans, drained and rinsed
- Saute onion and ground beef until meat is no longer pink. Add peppers, tomatoes, sauce, water and spice packet and stir to combine.
- Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- If desired, mix masa flour with 1/3 cup water and add to the pot. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Add beans, simmer an additional 5 minutes.
