Swedish Cabbage Pudding(Meat Loaf)

  1. Chop cabbage coarsely and saute in butter or margarine.
  2. Add Karo syrup and vinegar.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix hamburg, bread, pepper, salt, onion powder, allspice, nutmeg, egg and catsup.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Grease baking dish.
  7. Cover bottom of dish with one-half of the cabbage mixture.
  8. Spread hamburg mixture over the cabbage and then put the rest of the cabbage and juice on top of the hamburg.
  9. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350u0b0.
