Flaky Flaky Perfect Pie Crust

  1. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into medium bowl.
  2. Remove 2 Tbsp flour and put into small bowl
  3. In medium bowl add shortening. Cut it into flour with two knives or pastry cutter until mixed well in pea size pieces.
  4. In little bowl, add ice water to flour and mix into paste.
  5. Pour paste into pastry using rubber spatula to get all moisture. Stir then squeeze with finger tips till it forms a ball and all flour is mixed together.
  6. Refrigerate if time permits
  7. Roll on floured pastry sheet or waxed paper.
  8. Bake as your recipe for unbaked pie shell calls or at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned edges. Be sure to weight center
