Rosemary Sartori'S Sesame Seed Cookies
- 3 cups flour
- dash salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 sticks butter, room temp
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 jumbo sized egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- large handful of sesame seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Heavy cream
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, blend butter and sugar, add egg yolks one at a time, add vanilla.
- Pour dry mixture into large bowl of wet ingredients and mix well.
- Make into a ball (should be doughy) and cover with plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate a couple of hours.
- Lightly flour cutting board,. Roll dough into long strips and cut into 2" pieces. Wet sesame seeds in heavy cream. Take each cookie and dip into seeds.
- Put cookies on greased cookie sheet and bake for 9 minutes at 400*
