Shrimp Abd Broccoli With Fettucini
- 15-20 lrg fresh or frozen shrimp, peeled and deveined.
- 2 cups chopped fresh or frozen broccoli
- 1 small bundle of fresh oregano,chopped
- 3 cloves garlic
- tabisco sauce
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp butter, divided
- 1 package fresh fettucini
- 1/4 cup grated parmasan cheese
- Heat water for pasta. Bring to boil. While water is heating, shell and devein shrimp (if frozen, do this while running under cold water). Place in bowl and sprinkle tabisco sauce to taste. Add pepper to taste and set aside. If using frozen vegetables, run them under cold water When water is boiling, add pasta. Start to heat saute/fry pan at this time. When hot, add 1 tbsp of butter and melt until it turns a light golden-brown color. Add broccoli. Saute for about 5 minutes without a lid, stirring constantly. Add freshly chopped oregano. Add shrimp. Saute a few minutes longer, then recover with a lid. for 4 min. Remove lid. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside. When pasta is done, drain water, rinse and add butter and cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Stir until melted. Pour into serving dish. Arrange broccoli around outside of dish,with shrimp in the middle.
