Tomatillo Sauce
- Tomatillos (6 med)remove leaves
- Jalapenos (2 whole)
- Garlic (1 clove)
- Cilantro (3 or more sprigs)
- Salt to taste
- Avacado (if desired)(half or whole)
- Reserve water after boiling ingredients
- Place jalapenos in pot of water. Bring water to a boil. Let jalapenos boil about three to five minutes then add garlic, once jalapenos start to change color / soften add tomatillos. boil until soft. Use slotted spoon to remove jalapenos, garlic and tomatillos from pot. Place all ingredients in blender (tomatillo, garlic, 1 jalapeno and cilantro) leave one jalapeno on the side. Blend all ingredients, add salt to taste, if you desire more spice add the other jalapeno and blend. If sauce is to thick use water from reserves to thin. slice avacado into half inch chunks and add to sauce. serve warm or cold...goes great with tacos...delicious!
