Molasses Hazelnut Biscotti

  1. Combine 1 cup sugar, mmolasses, beaten egg
  2. and safflower oil. Combine the flour, soda,
  3. cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and salt in a
  4. separate bowl and then stir together. Fold
  5. in the nuts and raisins. Divide dough in
  6. half and roll into logs 2"x12". Sprinkle
  7. extra sugar on work surface and roll the
  8. logs till well coated. (I just sprinkled
  9. sugar on the top of biscotti)
  10. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet in a
  11. preheated 350 degree oven for about 15
  12. minutes. Logs will have formed a crust and
  13. spread out. Let cool slightly and cut each
  14. log into 24 1 1/2 diagonal pieces. Be
  15. prepared for the oohs and ahhs for they
  16. will surely come.
