Fresh Fried Finger Foods

  1. Wash, peel and pare veggies. Cut larger vegetables into long thin strips, leaving pea pods and green beans whole.
  2. Mince garlic and place in WOK or very large frying pan (14-16" with high sides). Add butter to the pan and melt over medium high temperature.
  3. Add almond extract to garlic butter and toss in the vegetables all at once. Increase the heat to high and quick fry. Stir constantly for 8-10 minutes until crisp-tender. Add a light grind of sea salt and serve in large serving dish.
  4. *Optional - add slivered almonds or finely chopped water chestnuts during the last 2-3 minutes of frying if desired and add a few fresh chopped chives to the top of your dish.
