Amaretto-Chocolate Sauce

  1. Combine egg yolks, sugar and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir until well blended.
  3. Add cream, bourbon and vanilla.
  4. Bring mixture just to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in pecans.
  7. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  8. Reheat to serve over slices of pound cake.
