Woody'S Chili Con Carne
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 2 1/2 cups diced tomatoes
- 1 can (11 oz) can condensed tomato. soup
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 clove garlic (pressed)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups kidney beans
- Heat oil in large skillet. Cook onion until colour changes to clear. Transfer to slow cooker or pot. Add green pepper to skillet and cook a few mins. Add pressed garlic with green peppers and saute for 1 additional minute, then transfer to slow cooker. Add all other ingredients to the slow cooker and stir well. Let simmer for 3-4 hours in slow cooker. Serve in bowls, and garnish with cheddar cheese.....
