Strawberries Romanesque
- 1 ready to use chocolate graham cracker crust
- 1 8oz. container lowfat whipped topping, thawed
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, washed & chilled
- 1 4 oz package instant French Vanilla pudding - sugar free
- 1 1/3 c skim milk
- 3 T Amaretto liquor (or almond flavor if non-alcholic is preferred)
- 1/3 c sugar
- chocolate jimmies ( optional)
- Stem and slice berries - reserving 3 whole berries for decoration. Marinate in 1/3 c sugar & 3 T Amaretto while assembling filling
- Whisk 1 1/3 c milk into pudding mix - set aside to thicken (5 minutes)
- Fold sliced berries into pudding.
- Gently fold pudding mixture into whipped topping.
- Pour into crust. Decorate with reserved berries and chocolate jimmies if desired.
- Refrigerate until serving.
