Chicken In Beer

  1. Brown chicken parts (coated with flour or not) in oil; set aside.
  2. In same skillet, add onions and brown slightly, shaking skillet.
  3. Return chicken to skillet.
  4. Add remaining ingredients, except sour cream.
  5. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  6. Take from heat; cool until fat has risen to surface. Skim off fat.
  7. Stir in the sour cream; reheat, but do not boil. Remove bay leaf.
  8. Good with linguini or vermicelli noodles or small red potatoes.
